Week Two - All Things in Moderation

Well hello all and how are you doing this week?

I'm feeling all buzzy because I'm off on holiday at 5am - a week in the snow having a blast skiing with a bunch of friends. I know it'll be a great break but there will be temptations aplenty from the traditional apres-ski beers, the fabulous pizzas in the village and the hot chocolate with brandy that keeps me warm on the blizzard days :0)

I've promised I'll stay strong this year, plan my nights out and build up those bonus points with some heavy slope time, but I'm definitely taking the time to enjoy myself and unwind after a truly hectic and frustrating week at work. I know I may come back a little heavier than I leave
(though hoping not) but I think it sometimes does us good to take a week out, have fun and not worry too much over the points.

I will be making healthy choices, planning ahead and not going too crazy but there will be some beer, some pizza and some hot chocolate in there. . . So this week is all about taking time out without going overboard, "enjoy the good things in life, but all things in moderation".

While I'm off it might take me a while to come back on emails, but keep sending in those weigh in's and I will get them logged.
I'll be posting again a week on Sunday when I hope to have some charts for you to show just how well we're doing.

In the meantime, this week I've been thinking about NSVs (non-scale victories). What's your favourite NSV since starting this journey, or what NSV are you looking forwards too? For me it's that my wedding dress from August 08 is now nicely loose around hips and bust. Yippee!

Have a great week everyone, I know I will. . .

  1. Best NSV so far - trying on the dress I bought for a black-tie do before Xmas last week - it didn't fit in December and I forgot to send it back so I'm stuck with it now .... except last week it did fit!!! The one I'm looking forward to - having my board shorts sit well on me on the beach in May - got a couple of inches to go yet but getting there! Who's next to share?
